When you're standing on the southern pillar of Tower Bridge (west side), you've good very good view towards the City of London, with its magnificient skyscrapers like Walkie Talkie or The Gherkin.

This is a sidewalk, but there's enough room to set up your tripod without being pushed by people. You can also put your camera on the top of the wall, it's wide and stable.
Standard and telephoto lens are most suitable here, as with ultra wide you'll get lots of water in the foreground and buildings will be fairly small.
