United Kingdom Chrome Hill
This is a few of Parkhouse hill from Chrome hill. It is a very popular composition, using a large tree a short way up the base of the hill.
Photography Tips
The hill is quite steep, so in snow can be very slippy and unstable. A good tripod with "flexible" legs might be helpful in setting yourself up in a good spot. This composition does need good lighting, such as sunrise or sunset - or some fog.
Travel Information
Parking is limited. I recommend parking in the layby on the southern edge of the town of Hollinsclough, which is southwest of this site. Follow the path out of the village east until the paths brings you in-between Chrome and Parkhouse hill. Begin the short climb up Chrome hill until you find the stone wall and large tree.
