United Kingdom Canary Wharf Underground, London
One of the most modern-looking Underground stations in London with a pretty futuristic and clean look.
Canary Wharf station, designed by British architect Norman Foster, is the second busiest on the London Underground outside Central London after Stratford and has over 40 million users every year. The architecture provides many photographic opportunities.
The first of the "behind the scene" shots at night were filed in error; is an "above the scene". It shows the distinctive canopy to the escalator exit, but it's the one from the other end of the hall, taken from my desk at the time. Zooming above it, you can see the Gherkin and Cheese Grater. The scene has now gone - the cranes have been replaced by another high-rise apartment block.

Photography Tips
You should go there late in the evening when there are fewer people using this station to get a people-free photo. Tripods are not allowed inside the station, but this spot is one floor beyond the main floor, so there are usually no watchmen.
Travel Information
You can get there by the London Underground (Jubilee Line) for obvious reasons, but you have to leave the Underground to get to this spot, so you will have to pay again to reenter it. If you aren't there by tube, you can enter this part of the station for free by using the eastern entrance.
