United Kingdom Woodhenge
Only a good three kilometres away from Stonehenge, there is another early historical cult site with oval structures. However, when it was discovered, only the postholes of now rotten wooden posts could be found. Hence the name Woodhenge. It is estimated to have been built 2,300 years BC. Low concrete bollards now stand in the 168 postholes in six elliptical rings, so that the structure of the site can be somewhat recreated.
