United Kingdom A view on the Tower Bridge, London
On the Thames path, St. Katharine docks is a great spot to get a different view of the tower bridge with The Shard in the picture. Tower Bridge is one of London's landmarks and probably one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. The 244-metre-long bridge was only built at the end of the 19th century and connects the districts of Tower Hamlets and Southwark. After your shoot, you can walk across the bridge, the view from the bridge over the city is very nice.
Photography Tips
You should come here at the golden hour and stay past the blue hour. However this picture was taken during the day because my schedule that day didn't allow me to do so. Because of the cloudy sky and the boring light, I went for a long exposure black & white image. Use a tripod. The location looked to be in the river, but I stood on the small viewing platform on the "Thames Path".
Travel Information
This location can be reached by car and there are parking lots around. However I took the metro to "Tower Hill" station and from there went on by foot. I took me around 15 minutes to reach the location.
