Just downstream from the Jolanda spillway are the rapids with beautiful autumn colors on either side.

Photography Tips

Plan to arrive early to catch the light before sunrise and the crowds arrive. Come the last week of October for the best colors. You will want about a 5 second shutter speed so will need a tripod.

Travel Information

Travel west on Highway 2 from Leavenworth and park at the spillway and walk just downstream.
