USA Motif No. 1
This is a famous spot on the New England coast. There is easy access to the water via a boat launch ramp visible on the map. You can walk around the harbor at low tide, but it is muddy.
Photography Tips
This shot was planned for the placement of the moon with PhotoPills. The best placement of the moon will happen in the Winter months. Be prepared for a little mud on your shoes if you want to get close to the water. There is a wall around the harbor that allows you to shoot down on the water.
Bring a tripod to give you options with exposure. Be wary of long exposures because the boats are always drifting back and forth. Since the Sun had set 10 minutes before the moon rose, the lighting conditions were not ideal. I ended up bracketing exposures and making a composite to get the detail in the moon, sharpness in the boats and a little more blur in the water.

Travel Information
Easy drive, can park on the street in the Winter months. I sure it is very crowded in the Summer.
