USA Double O Arch
Double O Arch is the second largest arch within the Devils Garden area, after Landscape Arch. As the name implies, there are two arches here, one large, with a span of 71 feet, stacked atop a much smaller arch with a 21-foot span. Both are part of the same sandstone fin.
Photography Tips
You can access either side of the arch, so morning or mid to late afternoon works depending on which side you want to photograph.
Travel Information
From the Arches National Park Visitors Center, drive 18 miles up Arches Scenic Drive to the large Devils Garden trailhead. The trail is paved and ends at Landscape Arch. A primitive loop trail extends from there. Double O Arch is located at the far end of the Devils Garden Primitive Loop, 1.93 miles past the Devils Garden trailhead and parking lot at the north end of the Arches Entrance Road. Past Landscape, the trail becomes much more rugged and challenging. The Double O Arch is located just off the Primitive Loop Trail, near the Dark Angel Spur Trail. There are numerous vault toilets at the large parking lot.
