USA Lake Elmore

The Beauty Spot of Vermont
Lake Elmore lies northwest of the village and empties into the Lamoille River through Pond Brook. The park had its beginning in 1936 when the town of Elmore and local citizens made a gift of 30 acres on Lake Elmore to the state of Vermont. With modest means, a picnic and beach area were created. Today, with more than 700 acres, Elmore State Park has become a popular, developed recreation facility.

Lake Elmore liegt nordwestlich des Dorfes und mündet durch Pond Brook in den Lamoille River.
Der Park hatte seinen Anfang im Jahr 1936, als die Stadt Elmore und lokale Bürger dem Staat Vermont 30 Morgen am Lake Elmore schenkten. Mit bescheidenen Mitteln wurden ein Picknick- und Strandbereich geschaffen. Heute ist der Elmore State Park mit mehr als 700 Acres eine beliebte, entwickelte Erholungseinrichtung.

There are many places to take pictures. Especially in autumn the foliage coloration is very beautiful.
