USA Valley 3, Goblin Valley State Park
Thousands of odd-shaped sandstone/mudstone hoodoos. The Goblin Valley is just a few miles from Little Wild Horse Canyon, Crack Canyon, and Chute Canyon. All are very photogenic and fun to explore. The park is roughly divided into three valleys. This spot is located in valley three.
Photography Tips
People (especially children) enjoy imagining shapes of ducks, turtles, fish, gnomes, etc. in the whimsically shaped hoodoos. It’s relatively easy to frame photos to validate their imagined creatures.
Travel Information
From the large paved parking lot, descend the steps near the covered pavilion into the valley and gradually work your way southeast to valley three. The hoodoos are taller and more dramatic there in my opinion. You can then wind your way through a vast maze of hoodoos.
