USA Harbour Town, Hilton Head Island

Harbour Town is a small marina located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Beautiful spot to stop and grab a bite to eat and a couple of good pictures. There is a sparsely populated pier but has a good lookout towards Pinckney Island and Bluffton. Golden Hour is the ideal time to hit this spot. This is also an ideal spot for some drone photography because it is right at the tip of the island.

Photography Tips

Parking can be tricky, but manageable. I went during the 4th of July weekend so parking was not optimal but during the less dense times, you shouldn't have to walk all that far.

Travel Information

There is a toll to get into Harbour Town, which is a slight inconvenience. However, it's a pretty cool little shopping/food area, so if you want you can get something to eat. There is also a kid's play area that is very neat.

Hey Steven, especially these drone photos are really beautiful, thank you for sharing your photos with the platform. The spot details are also great, just one hint about the usage of the platform: It's always better to create multiple spots when the photos are so different and taken from different places because a spot means, that this photo was taken from this exact geo-position (+-50m if the content/perspective is identical). The reason is, that only this allows others to find the places and add their own photos from these spots. I know it's a bit more effort and I would definitely simply group the drone photos to one spot, but this also allows you to see different perspectives immediately while planning your trip. Does that make sense to you? Thank you so much for your understanding :-) Manuel

Oh, gotcha! That makes sense. I was treating it as more of like this is the general area where I got the pictures. But I need to treat is as like EXACTLY where I got the photos. Cool. Thanks, I will remember that for next time! :)

Yeah that would be awesome because each spot is basically like a Wikipedia entry and others can add photos to it or edit it when they have been at the same spot. That doesn't work anymore when I simply add all my photos from Paris for example into one spot. I know it's more effort, but believe me that the value for you and the community is much higher this way :-)
