USA Crystal Peak
If you are a hiker and want a picture of Mt. Rainier up close, this is the one for you. This hike gives you elevation, wildflowers, the White River basin and of course the majestic Mt. Rainier in the background.
Photography Tips
Bring along a polarizer filter for the skies; don't darken them too much as the elevation will tend to blacken the skies.
Travel Information
Drive Highway 410 to a large parking lot 4 miles after the National Park signpost over the road. The hike goes some 4 miles and 3000 feet to the summit with plenty of opportunities along the way.
