USA Valley of Fire
The park is a vast expanse of brilliantly colored swirling sandstone. There are also hundreds of arches and probably thousands of smaller “windows” scattered throughout the park.
Photography Tips
While the park is frequently very crowded, you’ll likely have this area all to yourself no matter the date or time of day. A wide angle lens (10-14mm) works best for the arch. You’ll want something with a longer reach (24-105mm) for the rest of the area.
Travel Information
From the intersection of Mouse’s Tank Road and Fire Canyon Road, drive east 0.3 miles/0.5 km to a pullout on the right. Then walk south about 300 meters up a gently sloped sandstone ramp.
