This spot was one of the highlights during my last travel to the US. It's located in the far Northwest of New Mexico, near the City of Farmington.
It's the spot for the sunset, I will upload a second spot for the sunrise.

Photography Tips

I loved to photograph there, I saw no other people in this area, totally crazy.
Standard zoom 24-70 is fine here. Try to use the natural wall as a guiding line.

Travel Information

There is a dirt road exit from the main road (map) but I wouldn`t call it even a dirt road, it is not easy to drive, a lot of deep bumps.
Don`t come too late, I was a little bit in a hurry as I underestimated the travel time, even from the main road it took you some time. no parking there, but you can stop anywhere. Don`t get too close to the rock itself its sacred by the Navajos.

Fantastic shot! Did you drive up on the east side where I see a "road" then climb over to the west to get the setting sun on it from that side?
