We had such a great time with all of you at the Community Meetup in Cologne last month, so we wanted to use this chance to say thank you again to the awesome community here at Locationscout and share some impressions of the event.
This was definitely not the last event, so in case you didn't have the chance to be part of the event we will hopefully meet you at the next one. Nevertheless, it was a great opportunity to meet some of you in person and talk about our mutual passion for photography and traveling the world.
A huge thank you goes to our friends at Skylum, David Grigo and Dragana Mimic, who organized the event with us, and of course to our partner Manfrotto, who was so friendly to borrow us quite a lot of awesome tripods for the evening to make sure that everybody can get the best photo from this nice view down to Cologne. A very special thank you goes to Linda Grigo - who is by the way one of the best professional wedding photographers I know - and who not only helped to organize the event but also took nearly all these beautiful photos shared within this article.
We were around 120 participants, meeting in front of the Triangle Tower...
... to finally get up there ...
... and enjoy this stunning view during sunset and blue hour.
We had also enough time to talk about the beta version of the upcomming Locationscout app...
... or with popular photographers like Elia & Naomi Locardi or Nico Trinkhaus, who is the founder of Photoclaim and to the team of Skylum of course, in this case Dima (CTO) on the left and Kevin (VP) in the middle.
Bastian Werner - who is one of the best German weather photographers - and his significant other also enjoyed the evening with us. He also wrote the article about Forecasting fog for landscape photography for us.
