One of those great waterfalls along the route from Jasper to Banf. You can't miss it since there usually are many tourists around.

Photography Tips

Use an ND filter and tripod. The upper falls are easy to photograph from a bridge. To photograph the lower falls, you will have to take a two-kilometre hike down a semi-treacherous tree root-strewn path. Go around the end of the railing and follow the paths to some promontory points from where you can get clear photos of the lower falls and pool.

Travel Information

On the Icefields Parkway, about twenty-five miles from Jasper. You will need to have a Canada Parks Pass to enter Jasper National Park. You can pre-purchase one online (it's cheaper), or you will have to purchase one at the park gate. Turn off of the Icefields Parkway at the Sunwapta Lodge and follow the adjacent road about a half-mile to the parking lot. Fall is the best time to go there, because, during the summer, the falls are overrun with tourists.

one of the best locations in the area , be sure to bring your tripod , it's just a short walk to the location from parking . Recommend going in the early morning

An absolute must-see and one of the few class 5 waterfalls along the IFPW. I would recommend to walk past the bridge and use one of the paths down to the right side of the falls, from there you get an even better angle, but be aware of slippery conditions. And as always leave no trace!

Thanks for the advice dear Christian. Would you mind to upload the other spot too? I am probably there in a few weeks, so this and any other advice would help me a lot. Thank you very much in advance! :)
