Croatia Plitvice Lakes National Park
Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest national park in Croatia and one of the most famous attractions of the country.
In 1979 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register.
Preamble:
The GPS-data for this exact spot where the photos above were taken might be not 100% correct, but the second photo shows the Galovac waterfall and the first one was definitively taken nearby: just follow the track.
What I really like about this park is that the whole park is a photo spot itself. Every corner is interesting and beautiful. So don't worry about GPS-data.
Description:
Most of the time you walk through the park over these wooden planks which is great because the water of the lakes is everywhere. And by saying this I mean it is literally everywhere and you even have small waterfalls and cascades under the planks. The water is crystal clear and has this cyan colour.
Preparation:
You have to wear good shoes, because you'll be walking A LOT.
Also take food and drinks with you. There are some shops where you can buy some food and drinks to rest, but it may be quiet expensive.
If you go there in the summer time carry your sunglasses!!
Start your trip early when the park opens its doors in the morning. The park is really large so you'll need time to explore the most important routes. If you want to see everything you'll probably need two or three days - I don't know, I was completely exhausted after one day and don't get me wrong I was 18 and a sportingly guy.
