France Latona's Pool and Parterre Fountain, Palace of Versailles
During the summer or warm period the fountain will run around 10:00am with classical music. All this makes the place a very pleasant place to get a rest or a sunbath
Photography Tips
For great shots of Latona's Pool from the terrace at the Palace of Versailles, visit in the early morning or late afternoon for softer, golden light and fewer crowds. Use a wide-angle lens to capture the full grandeur of the fountain aligned with the central axis and the gardens beyond. Position yourself centrally on the terrace for symmetry, or move slightly to the sides for dynamic angles. Include leading lines of the paths and water channels to draw the viewer’s eye toward the Grand Canal. A polarizing filter can help reduce glare from the water and enhance the sky.
Travel Information
The best way to reach the Versailles Palace is to get the RER-C and stop at the station or terminal station "Versaille Château - Rives Gauches". At the entrance of the RER entrance, just walk right then left and keep straight until the Palace.
