Germany Weibersbrunn Natural Forest
An extraordinarily beautiful, natural beech forest is the “Metzgergraben und Krone" (Butchers dig and Crown) nature reserve near Weibersbrunn in the High Spessart (Hochspessart). It has been under protection since 1928 and has not been used for forestry since then.
The large amount of dead wood is a refuge for a large variety of wood-decomposing fungi.
