Spain Playa de Benijo, Tenerife
Playa de Benijo is a beautiful remote location in the northwest of the Island of Tenerife, which is a great photo spot for sunrises and sunsets.
Important: This spot has been closed since July 2024 as a preventive measure after some landslides. Please make sure to check the current situation and if something has changed about that. Until then the only way to photograph this spot is a drone. It may be possible to get there on foot along the beach at low tide but bear in mind that this area is still marked as unsafe until further notice.

Use a graduated ND filter, for long exposures, combine a 4-6 stop filter with a graduated ND filter.
Use a sturdy tripod. Have some wipes with you, spray water from the stormy sea will cover your camera gear an filters.

Travel Information
The location is on the NW of the Island of Tenerife, the road from the motorway leading to Benijo is mountainous for about 30km, with very steep turns and sheer drops. Parking is limited to about 10 cars, there are about 200-300 steep steps down to the beach.
