One of many, many Buddhas at Wat Maha That in Ayutthaya Historical Park in Thailand. The Buddha head trapped in a Banyan tree is its most famous landmark, but an hour walk around the whole Wat Mahathat site is well worth your time. This is just one of hundreds of worthy compositions. It's a photographers dream :)

Photography Tips

Bring lots of bug spray. You want to spend your time taking photos, not fighting off bugs

Travel Information

There are lots of day trips available from Bangkok. I visited as a cruise ship excursion. If you have longer: Ayutthaya itself could be visited as its own 1 or 2 day trip as part of your Thailand tour.
