USA Father Crowley Overlook
Father Crowley Overlook is a roadside turnout, just before beginning the descent into Death Valley. Unfortunately, the footpath shown in the photo no longer exists. It was "improved/destroyed" when the Park Service decided to install an asphalt road for easier access - proof that easier isn't always better.
The view over the valley is interesting in that it overlooks the dry lake bed where many famous photos of the mysterious "moving stones" have been taken. Much too far away for a photo from here, however.
