USA Conboy National Wildlife Refuge
South of Glenwood, Washington is the Conboy Wildlife Refuge and to western side is an open field with aspen trees acting as a foreground to the majestic Mt. Adams. As usual, I apologize for the green cast which I seem to get when downloading to Location Scout; it is NOT what the scene looks like.
Photography Tips
As with all fall colors timing is everything and while I came a little early it is usually the last week of October. Don't forget your polarizer filter for the best color enhancement and you will want a long lens to compress the mountain.
Travel Information
I would advise staying in Glenwood at the delightful inn then travel south on the Glenwood Highway for about five miles. You will see the site as there is an old barn on the west side of the road. There are plenty of other photos sites before and after you reach this one.
