USA The Wildflowers of Mount Rainier
The mid-summer wildflowers around Mount Rainier are quite famous and are found on many postcards. The spot is within 100m of the roadside with plenty of composition opportunity. Check out both Upper and Lower Tipsoo Lakes. The wildflowers change each year.
Photography Tips
Arrive early; this is a very popular site. I think the morning light is better with the mountain front lit and the colors are more rich. Depending on the winters the timing is critical as the season is only two weeks long. Plan for the end of July or early August. Use a tripod, remote timer and wide angle lens for complete depth of field.
